EMDR

Are you aware of having a negative thought about yourself that doesn’t seem logical? It’s often a belief we have about ourselves that occurs when something emotional happens. It’s like a “disconnect” between what we “feel” and what we “think”. An example might be thinking “I am stupid” while at the same time you know that this isn’t true. EMDR therapy is used to help correct this negative belief that you have about yourself. It is also very effective in helping to make a trauma such as rape or witnessing something traumatic less emotional.

EMDR therapy works by stimulating the bi-lateral process in the brain through eye movements or aural tones. It’s simple and easy with relatively little talking involved. Get more information about EDMR
